Event Description
COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted, and for those who are ready to socialize, we will meet at Tsukisamu Park from 11:00-15:00. This is a bring your own food and drink event as we finally get to meet face-to-face, and those wishing to explore the park will have plenty of options. Let's celebrate the real beginning of summer together. The 22nd is a special national holiday this year only, in order to celebrate the start of the Olympics.
Summary
About a dozen members and guests showed up on top of the hill with a gazebo providing the shade. As you can see in the photos of the participants, everyone took advantage of this rare face-to-face chance to socialize. A number of people brought snacks and food items to share, while everyone was also eating their own personal lunch items. More than half the group went for a walk down to the new Park Center facility and were impressed with the beauty of the park as well. In spite of the fact that it was a holiday, this large park was not crowded at all. Everyone came and went according to their own schedules, and left with smiles on their faces, as it was a delightful get together. We discussed the next big social event being planned for September 20th, and certainly hope that many more members and guests will be vaccinated and ready to meet and have fun together once again.
